We are very pleased to announce Womens Forum raised an amazing $350,000HK for SoulTalk www.soultalk.org at the 2008 Bachelor Bid Auction Charity Dinner, held at the Conrad Hotel on Tuesday 27th May 2008.
The event was a sellout success, with over 350 ladies attending.
Special thanks must go to the support of our wonderful sponsors (list attached) with particular thanks to The Luxe Manor Hotel in TST, for providing 20 bachelor dinners at ASPASIA Italian Restaurant, for each bachelor and his highest bidder.
Also a big thankyou must go to the Jaspas Party Junk for donating 2 fully catered junks as auction prizes valued at $60,000.
Escada donated from their latest collection a stunning Swarowski evening clutch.
Agnes Caer-Piras from Calamansi Bijoux generosity was overwhelming, donating over $122,000 worth of beautiful jewellery for the event which included: a Silent Auction Prize, Business Card Prize, 32 individual tables prizes and 20 thankyou gifts for the volunteers.
Emirates Airlines were very generous in donating 2 return airline tickets to Dubai, and the Hon. Ms Anson Chan, Patron of SoulTalk, was kind enough to attend and host part of the event and donate a diamond and gold pendant and earings, valued at $32,000 as a Silent Auction prize.
Special acknowledgements go to Mr. Ranjan Marwah who entertained us with his charm as our auctioneer. Michelle Tanmizi and Megan Porter worked tirelessly with the music, bachelors and co-ordination of the event. Anya Pzeplasko and Brett Cameron took many stunning photo's which will be on the Womens Forum website for all to see. Pierre-Frances Metayer filmed the video of the bachelors and co-ordinated hours of footage to be viewed on uTube (see link below) Michelle Tanmizi and Darren Garmen did a great job co-ordinating the music. Without the tireless support of the volunteers who offered their expertise on the night, the event would not have been the success it was and to them we are very grateful.
A very special thankyou must be made to the 21 bachelors (see attachment) for their total commitment and support in helping raise money for SoulTalk, and providing such a wonderful evening of entertainment. Each bachelor attended rehearsals, planned and performed segments, worked out, bought new tuxedo's and costumes and totally committed themselves to giving the best they could on the night, and for that we are graciously thankful.
So ladies, here is a glimpse of the night, enjoy the utube video and see you next May for the 2009 Bachelor Bid Auction to be held once again at the Conrad Hotel.
